Spotlight on D.C.

Washington D.C. is one of the most well known cities in the world – our nation’s capital. Not only is it constantly bustling with political action, but it is also a place full of history and adventure. Having the opportunity to do an internship in D.C. can provide you with networking opportunities, great resume experience and also a lot of fun.

Our interns always love their time in D.C. and here is a list of a few of their favorite attractions:
United States Capitol Building

The Jefferson Memorial (especially at night!)

The Washington Monument

The Lincoln Memorial

And it doesn’t end there! Planet Ware has comprised a list of the 15 top-rated attractions of D.C., complete with photos and some great information. Check it out here!

Also, you might not know a lot about the district itself.
This video, made by List25, gives 25 facts you might not know about D.C.

For example:
-Which age old phrase is written across D.C. license plates?
-Which drink is consumed in greater amounts per person in D.C. than anywhere else in the U.S.?
-How many miles of bookshelves are contained within the Library of Congress?
-On which building in Washington D.C. can you find a grotesque of Darth Vader?
-What world record does the Washington Monument hold?

To find out the answers to these questions and more, check out the video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFfCPeqhynk

As you can see, D.C. has a lot to offer. You could be living there, working on Capitol Hill and getting to explore all these breathtaking monuments in person! One of the most popular times to do an internship is during the summer, and applications are being accepted now, due February 1st! If you’re interested, come see us in Old Main, room 109. Or apply online here!
