The Institute of Government and Politics (IOGP) is Utah State University's center for political internship opportunities and political events.Each year the IOGP sends out 50+ interns to Washington, D.C. and Salt Lake City to work for Congressmen, party leaders, special committees, fundraising groups, non-profits, think tanks, and more.
IOGP interns undergo a brief orientation program, attend several seminars during their internships, and write policy research papers relating to their experiences.
Credits for internships are available through USU and the political science department.
